THE CONGREGATION AT 505 ELMS BLVD

Welcome and thank you for visiting our page.  We are a congregation of fellowshipping Christians meeting in the heart of Excelsior Springs, Missouri.  We welcome you to any of our services and hope to share our faith in Jesus Christ and His salvation in our journey together.

We follow the teachings and ordinances of Christ's Church as outlined in the New Testament of the Bible.  The name we use as the "church of Christ" is non-denominational and not selected randomly, but we use it because Jesus purchased it (and us) with His sacrifice in death. Therefore, we meet as a body that wears His name. (Rom. 16:16, Acts 11:26) Each of the members we are baptized believers working out our own salvation (Phil. 2:12), and we hope you will join us in pursing the path onward to Salvation!

Services are conducted by assigned participants across the Brotherhood, each contributing to the edification of the Body with singing, readings, classes, services, and lessons.  (I Tim 3; Titus 1; Acts 6:1-6; I Peter 5:1-5)

The leadership of the congregation is based on what the Apostles directed in the New Testament scriptures with Overseers (Elders), Deacons, and Evangelists who help to serve the Brotherhood of Saints.  (Rom 14:19; I Cor 14:26; Eph 4)

The congregation has been meeting at "the old post office" building down the street from the historic Elms Blvd since the 1960's and our services are weekly.
